Gutters

Gutters just seem to be there and do their job. But they have a very important job – to get the water AWAY from your home! Wind and Hail can damage your Gutters, pulling them from the frame of your home leaving room for water and ice to get trapped and damage your home. Get a FREE INSPECTION to make sure that your Gutters are anchored correctly and have not been damaged by recent Hail Storms and/or Wind Storms.  Maybe it’s just time for new gutters.

Gutters are usually taken for granted–until it rains! If they are not taken care of, they can cause extensive damage to both the outside and inside of your Colorado home.

Not only do gutters help direct water from the foundation (if installed correctly), they are also important for routing water away from walkways, where ice can build up and cause damage or create injury risk. Many older Colorado homes have poorly designed water drainage systems. Colorado Roofing and Construction can consult with you on your water problems.

It is hard to imagine the extensive damage that can be caused by something as delicate as a leaf. Leaves can clog gutters and downspouts resulting in severe problems and expensive home repairs. At Colorado Roofing and Construction, we offer the most advanced systems for gutter protection.

Common Gutter Problems

If your gutters are damaged, sagging, missing parts or improperly installed, it is unfortunate but likely exterior damage to your Colorado home is sure to follow. A gutter that is missing, or that drains too close to the house will saturate the ground. This wet saturated ground can produce a variety of problems.  A wet saturated ground near your home can be easily and affordably prevented with a quality gutter system but left unchecked can:

  • Creates a breeding ground for Mold and Mildew.
  • It will eat away at foundations and basement walls.
  • Leaks and cracks will develop and will worsen quickly in the winter months when the ground freezes and expands.
  • Driveways and walkways will sink and rise, interior and exterior walls and floors can warp, bow or become wet, molded or stained. Unfortunately, entire homes have been destroyed due to water damage.
